The France squad arrived at their Clairefontaine base on Sunday where the players will stay throughout Euro 2016.

There was tight security at Clairefontaine where the French national team set up base today. Heavy police prescence will remain throughout Euro 2016 after the terror attacks in Paris last year.

The armed guards didn't prevent a few curious fans showing their suppport though.

The national training centre is home from home for many of the French squad - it also houses the infamous academy that has turned out many of the national side's stars including Olivier Giroud.

And the side will hope history repeats itself - Clairefontaine was also the team base for the country's 1998 World Cup squad - also on home soil - which France won.

France played theit final pre-tournament friendly yesterday - an emphatic 3-0 win over Scotland.

French President Francois Hollande will visit this evening as the side prepare for their opening game against Romania on Friday.
