Dele Alli pictured on holiday after Euro 2016 and England fans lose their sh*t in tabloid frenzy… Get over it
Sunday, July 03, 2016 Source: Caughtoffside.comDele Alli had a terrific first season in the Premier League with Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists in 33 games.
His fine club form earned him a call-up to Euro 2016, where it would be fair to say he did not shine so bright.
But, let’s be honest, he was far from England’s worst player in what was, admittedly, a total shambles of a tournament campaign.
A few days on from England’s shocking defeat to Iceland, Alli has been spotted enjoying himself on holiday in Ibiza.
So what? Good question, but the tabloid press have jumped all over photos of the 20-year-old partying topless on the beach.
Comments in The Mirror criticise Alli for ‘not giving a f***’ and for having his “priorities” mixed up, while the Daily Star say Three Lions supporters have been ‘sent into a rage’ by the Spurs star’s actions.
Get a grip, guys. What do you expect the lad to do? Cancel his summer holiday and mope around indoors until Tottenham call him back for pre-season?
If you had a bad time at work would you feel obliged to punish yourself by depriving yourself of a break? Alli is entitled to a holiday. As much as playing professional football must be a bloody good job, it is still just that – a job.
