Marek Hamsik‘s agent has fuelled speculation linking the attacker with a move to the Premier League by saying “anything is possible”.

The Slovakian’s current club Napoli are expecting interest in their star man after he has impressed in the Serie A since joining in 2007.

The 28-year-old is currently representing his country at Euro 2016 and scored the winner in their second group game against Russia.

With reports linking the player with a move away from the Naples club, his agent has suggested his form at the European Championships has only heightened interest from other clubs.

Juraj Venglos told Pluska: “After the match with Russia, I had a number of phone-calls.

''I won’t be specific at the moment though, Marek has a contract with Napoli. His value was already high, and it certainly won’t have gone down.

''He was already well-known, it’s not just about these two games he’s played. Could he leave for €35m? It could be that, it depends on the conditions of Napoli. It could be higher or it could be lower. Or in the end it might be irrelevant.

''Because he could stay at Napoli? Yes, anything is possible.”

Slovakia’s star man was kept largely quiet by England last night as two sides fought out a dire draw in their final group game.

However, Hamsik had been in impressive form prior to the fixture and staked his claim for goal of the tournament with a ferocious shot against Russia.

The attacker is his country’s second most capped player – with 89 appearances – and was a pivotal part of the Slovakian team which reached their first ever European Championships.

After the 0-0 draw with Roy Hodgson’s men, Slovakia sit third in the group and will have to wait to discover if they’ve done enough to progress to the knockout rounds.

The midfielder has scored 81 goals in 319 league appearances for Napoli and has remained loyal to the club despite intense transfer speculation in the past.
