De Gea: All 23 players must contribute

Following the surprise 1-0 loss at the hands of Georgia in the last friendly ahead of the European Championship, Spain goalkeeper David De Gea remarked that every player in the squad is a capable contributor for the defending champions.

The Manchester United player refused to gauge whether he thinks he will be the custodian in the opener against the Czech Republic on June 13.

"[Vicente Del Bosque] is the one in charge of taking such decision," he said. "I'm here to give my best on every single minute he may give me.

"De Gea opted to brush off the goal he received from Tornike Okriashvili after in the first-half, provoked by an errant backpass from Jordi Alba to Sergio Ramos.

"It was bad luck, we shall not overreact," he said.

The 25-year-old goalie backed up his two centre-backs' insistence in starting the offensive plays with ground passes that may leave them vulnerable in case of error.

"That's Spains philosophy," he said. "They [Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique] have a nice touch but everyone can misfire sometimes."
